When I decided to return to working out.... I realized that I was plumb out of shape after my first "BodyStep" class. Typically speaking I have always been the energetic person working out, (that I think annoys many people) :). To bad I don't care too much. When I work out.... It is all about me, me, me. Needless to say, when I began coming back to body step I was working out in the back... just a huffing and puffing. My legs felt like cast-iron tankers and the step seemed like it was about a foot off of the ground. No matter the energy that was being spread throughout the room, I just couldn't get it together and the minutes seemed to creep by.
I was becoming ever so frustrated.
Then..... Friday hit..... It was like I was standing on the atop a mountain and enjoying the fresh air and scenery around me. I was jumping when I was told to do so. I was able to lift my arms up to propel my body off of the ground. I was laughing and yelling along with the class.
I was having fun.
You know they say that when you look for a job... you should do something that you enjoy doing. When this happens.... every day seems like you are having fun and it no longer feels like work. So I asked myself..... WHY CAN'T I HAVE FUN WORKING OUT? ..... I AM finding fun.... FINALLY!!!!
So now the CHANGE begins. When I have fun working out, I can work out harder. I will now be able to incorporate more complex workouts to my regimen. Once I get myself to a place that I feel healthy, I will be able to bring more people along with me.
In time, I am hoping to make the world healthier.... One person at a time, starting with ME.
Golden is Ambition when Ambition is Golden.
